Jon Moxley made history at AEW All In: London, defeating Nigel McGuinness in the grand final to become the inaugural Continental Challenge Cup winner.
The match took place at Wembley Stadium with the AEW Continental Championship also on the line. When the tournament was announced, AEW stipulated that the winner would walk away with both the trophy and the title.
McGuinness entered the final nursing an ankle injury, and Moxley wasted no time zeroing in on it. Even with the compromised ankle, McGuinness came close to winning on multiple occasions, locking in the London Dungeon and scoring several nearfalls.
Down the stretch, Moxley attacked the injured ankle again and locked in an Ankle Lock. McGuinness escaped initially, but Moxley regained control, hit a Curb Stomp, and immediately reapplied the submission.

5:58 PM · Aug 30, 2026McGuinness crawled toward the ropes and came within inches of the break, but he couldn’t close the gap and ultimately tapped out. Moxley picked up the win at approximately the 17-minute mark.
Moxley’s road to the final included wins over Jungle Jack Perry, Jay White, and fellow Death Riders member Claudio Castagnoli. McGuinness advanced by defeating Katsuyori Shibata, Hechicero, and Kyle O’Reilly.
With the victory, Moxley also retains the AEW Continental Championship, a reign that dates back to Worlds End 2025, where he defeated Kazuchika Okada in the Continental Classic final.
