AEW Double or Nothing 2026 was a major success for Tony Khan’s company, especially when it came to pay-per-view sales.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the event beat this year’s Revolution by a considerable margin and became AEW’s biggest pay-per-view since the company began offering its specials on HBO Max in the United States.
“It was a huge success. The numbers I saw were 15% above Revolution. I think that number may end up a little lower, but it’s clear it will finish among the five or six biggest pay-per-views in AEW history.”
Even before the event, Meltzer had reported that advance buys were “way above normal” for an AEW pay-per-view. The show was also sold out, with more than 14,000 tickets distributed and a gate close to $1.5 million at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

In the ring, the biggest highlight was MJF defeating Darby Allin in a Title vs. Hair Match to win the AEW World Championship for the third time. The event also saw Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeat FTR to capture the AEW World Tag Team Championship, while Konosuke Takeshita defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the AEW International Championship.
