Will Ospreay broke his silence after defeating Samoa Joe at AEW Double or Nothing, making it clear that his road to Wembley Stadium got off to the best possible start.

The match took place on Sunday, May 24, at Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York City, as part of the quarterfinals of the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament.

Posting on his official X account, Ospreay thanked the New York crowd and teased what lies ahead.

“Thank you for the love, New York. Couldn’t ask for a better first stop for my road to Wembley. In three months, we remember the sound.”

The win came after a hard-fought match against Joe. Ospreay escaped the Coquina Clutch in the closing moments and scored the victory after hitting two Hidden Blades, advancing to the tournament semifinals.

AEW All In: London is set for Sunday, August 30, at Wembley Stadium in London. The event marks the company’s return to the venue, where AEW has made history in recent years.
