Tonight’s show opens with Tony Schiavone and Taz welcoming us. We get a recap video from last week’s Dynamite: Beach Break, where Kenny Omega won the AEW World Championship by defeating MJF.
We then see footage shot before the show went on the air. Will Ospreay unloads a series of strikes on a target that stays out of frame. The rest of the Death Riders ask him to stop, praise his work, and clear out, leaving only Jon Moxley by the Brit’s side.
Moxley reminds him the hardest part is behind him. Ospreay has done the work that needed to be done, and now everything he could want is right there in front of him. Moxley says a lot of people hesitate once they finally see the finish line, but Ospreay can’t afford to make that mistake.
Moxley gives Ospreay a pat on the back before walking off. Left alone, The Aerial Assassin goes right back to working over the target out of frame, closing out the video.
It’s then announced that Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will put the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the line against the Death Riders in the night’s opening match.
AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Cage & Cope (c) vs. Death Riders (Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta)
– Cope lands a “Spear” on Yuta, followed by a pinfall.
The Dogs and Claudio Castagnoli stormed the ring to attack Copeland and Christian Cage after the match. The Bang Bang Gang came out to make the save, and an all-out brawl broke out at ringside.
With everyone else cleared from the ring, Finlay lined up to hit Copeland with the shillelagh. Jay White stepped in and ripped the weapon out of his hands. White then threatened to hit Finlay with it, and Finlay quickly retreated, taking his allies with him.
Christian, however, believes Jay was actually aiming for him. Copeland steps between the two as the crowd chants for them to hug it out. After a brief exchange, Cage leaves the ring without giving the fans what they wanted.
Queen Aminata will get a shot at the TBS Championship this Saturday. The announcement comes after replay footage aired of Hikaru Shida’s win over Harley Cameron last week. Shida attacked her opponent after the title defense, leaving Cameron sidelined indefinitely.
We also see footage of Mark Davis putting the AEW National Championship on the line against “Speedball” Mike Bailey on Collision.
Andrade is set to face Jake Doyle in the next match, but first, a new video package on the Mexican star airs.
Renee Paquette interviews Andrade backstage. The Mexican star makes it clear he’s ready to face every member of the Don Callis Family. If necessary, he also plans to take every title currently under the group’s control, since his ultimate goal is becoming AEW World Champion. Andrade then pulls MJF’s Dynamite Diamond Ring out of a box. He reveals that a close friend gave it to him.
Coming back from the break, Renee Paquette catches up with The Conglomeration. She points out just how many trios teams are running around AEW right now, but Orange Cassidy wants to know where they all actually are.
The Demand cuts the interview short. Ricochet makes it clear they’re not there to attack the champions — even though they could if they wanted to — and says their focus is squarely on the AEW World Trios Championship.
That’s when The Lethal Twist appears from behind and lays into the champions. Ricochet reminds everyone he promised not to lay a finger on them, but points out that Jay Lethal, Blake Christian and Lee Johnson aren’t part of The Demand. At least not yet.
Singles Match: Andrade El Idolo vs. Jake Doyle
– Andrade lands a “DM” on Doyle, followed by a pinfall.
With the win, Andrade earns the right to challenge Mark Davis for the AEW National Championship at AEW Redemption. The champion comes out with the title, but backs down after being intimidated by Andrade.
Coming back from the break, Tony Schiavone is in the ring to bring out new AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, but it’s the Young Bucks — the tag team of Matt and Nick Jackson — who show up instead.
The Bucks poke fun at the belt MJF had been using, then call Omega down to give him something new. When the new champion comes out, Matt and Nick present him with the original AEW World Championship.
Omega looks back on winning the title for the first time, but says he has to keep his focus on the future — there are 50 days left until AEW All In. Will Ospreay’s music hits.
Ospreay talks about the respect he has for Omega, but admits he isn’t in AEW to settle for second place — he wants the top spot, saying he’ll give his best against the champion at Wembley Stadium. Omega agrees with Ospreay’s mindset, saying he’s looking forward to the match as well. Kevin Knight’s music hits.
Knight says he has business to settle with Omega, because he needs to put an end to this love story between him and Ospreay. He says the phony MJF owed him a title shot, but since MJF is no longer champion, that debt now falls on Omega. Omega says he’ll honor the debt, but warns Knight about the risks of aligning himself with the Don Callis Family.
Omega says he once fell for Callis’s lies too, but warns Knight he’ll learn the hard way just how wrong that is. Omega adds that when he faces Knight, he wants the old version of him — not Callis’s lapdog. On top of that, Knight comes to MJF’s defense, saying he’s no phony, since he showed up and defended his title every week, never ducking anyone.
Knight says he agrees with Omega, but claims the only thing about him that hasn’t changed is the evil in his heart. With that, he attacks Omega. Ospreay rushes in to stop him, and when Knight tries to flee, Darby Allin cuts him off on the entrance ramp.
At that point, the Don Callis Family and the Death Riders show up, and chaos erupts.
Backstage, Jack Perry is excited about his future in AEW, announcing that he’ll make his return to the ring on the next episode of Collision.
Tag Team Match: Brodido (ROH World Champion Bandido & Brody King) vs. Aaron Solo & Nick Comoroto
– Bandido lands a “Frog Splash” on Solo, followed by a pinfall.
Backstage, Kyle Fletcher is set to be interviewed by Renee Paquette ahead of his AEW International Championship match against Komander, but Bandido interrupts, sticking a picture on the champion’s chest before walking off. Fletcher doesn’t get the message but still heads to the ring.
AEW International Championship Match: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Komander
– Fletcher lands a “Sheer Drop Brainbuster” on Komander, followed by a pinfall.
After the match, Fletcher attempts to unmask Komander, but Konosuke Takeshita shows up to stop him. Suddenly, Kazuchika Okada appears out of nowhere and hits Takeshita with a Rainmaker. Bandido and Brody King also run in and clear the ring, closing out the segment.
Backstage, Darby Allin catches up with Kenny Omega and says it would be best for Kevin Knight if someone convinced him to get out of his way — he wants the AEW TNT Championship. Omega tells him he has his support to defeat Knight.
Jon Moxley then shows up and says Allin is right — some people need to change and simply don’t — before walking off.
On the entrance ramp, Renee Paquette interviews the Brawling Birds. Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor express their disappointment with England at the World Cup, but turn their attention to All In, where they hope to face opponents who can match them.
In a video package, Chris Jericho vows to get revenge on Tommaso Ciampa after losing to him last week.
In the next video, Ciampa responds by challenging Jericho to a match this Saturday on AEW Collision.
Singles Match: Brian Cage vs. Darby Allin
– Allin lands a “Coffin Drop” on Cage, followed by a pinfall.
Backstage, Kyle Fletcher is furious that Bandido touched his title. Fletcher says that if this is what Bandido wants, he will get his shot at the AEW International Championship at AEW Redemption. He adds that he will defend the title against anyone who steps up.
Backstage, Kevin Knight joins Don Callis for an interview with Renee Paquette. Paquette asks about the tough road ahead, with Knight set to defend the TNT Championship next week before facing Kenny Omega at AEW Redemption. Callis says Knight has what it takes to handle both challenges better than anyone else.
“Speedball” Mike Bailey then approaches Knight and says he should listen to what Omega said earlier in the night. Bailey adds that he still cares about Knight. Knight, however, says he no longer feels anything for Bailey, leaving him standing alone.
Trios Match: Mercedes Moné, and AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) vs. Willow Nightingale, Maya World & Hyan
– Moné hits a “Money Maker” on Hyan, winning the match.
End of show.
