Add as a preferred source on Google LA Knight has yet to win a world title in WWE, but he has the public support of one of the biggest names in the company’s recent history.
During an appearance on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, AJ Styles said he would like to see the “Megastar” reach the top of the company, specifically praising his work on the microphone.
“I do hope he gets to be World Champion. I really think he’s earned it. His mic work is pretty freaking awesome. He’s a guy that can hold a Heavyweight Championship, no problem and he’s got the mouth to back it up. I’d like to see it happen.”
Styles and Knight had a notable rivalry in 2024, which culminated in a match at WrestleMania 40.
Knight is still being positioned by WWE as one of the more featured names on the roster, despite his recent losses in important matches.
In the King of the Ring tournament, Knight was defeated by Jey Uso in a Fatal 4-Way Match that also included Finn Bálor and Royce Keys.
Styles, meanwhile, is retired. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2026 after saying farewell to the ring earlier in the year.
