Fabian Aichner is officially in the match for the vacant TNA X-Division Championship at Bound for Glory. On Thursday’s iMPACT, he defeated Rohit Raju to earn his spot.
This week’s show took place at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario. Aichner won with a powerbomb.
With the win, Aichner and KC Navarro are the first two confirmed entrants in the Six-Way Scramble Match. Navarro earned his spot last week by defeating Joe Alonzo.
The title match was announced after Leon Slater relinquished the TNA X-Division Championship by exercising Option C. That earned Slater a match against TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth at Bound for Glory.
Aichner has recently been in the title picture. In July, he won a Six-Way Match against Rich Swann, Jason Hotch, The Home Town Man, BDE, and Mr. Elegance to earn a title shot against then-champion Cedric Alexander.
Two weeks later, he challenged Alexander for the TNA X-Division Championship but came up short.
He’ll get another chance at Bound for Glory, which takes place on Sunday, October 11 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. Four spots in the title match are still open.
