Seth Rollins has been off WWE television since SummerSlam, but the company’s creative team reportedly already has his return planned.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, via Fightful Select, WWE is keeping Rollins off TV while it waits for the right moment to bring him back. The report adds that plans for his return are in place and that his current absence is not injury-related.
WWE had at one point planned for Rollins to be part of Money in the Bank, its next premium live event, but those plans have reportedly changed in recent weeks. Still, the expectation internally is that he will be back on TV before long.
Rollins last appeared on WWE TV on August 2, when he lost to Roman Reigns in a World Heavyweight Championship match that headlined Night 2 of SummerSlam.

The long break from WWE’s weekly shows has not kept Rollins out of the ring. From September 9 to 12, he worked WWE’s tour of South America, teaming with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa against Jacob Fatu and The Usos. The same six-man tag team match took place in cities including Quito and Santiago.
Money in the Bank is set for October 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. The show will start at 6 p.m. ET and stream on the ESPN App in the United States.
Even though the plans for his involvement in the show appear to have changed, the Smoothie King Center is still advertising Rollins for private fan meet-and-greets as part of official Money in the Bank packages. That does not confirm an appearance on the broadcast, but it does indicate that he remains scheduled to be in New Orleans for activities connected to the event.
