For now, WWE is sticking with its plan to stream Worlds Collide on Wednesday, September 30, at 7 p.m. ET, exclusively on YouTube.
Dave Meltzer reported that the time slot remains in place, although there is hope within WWE that the decision will be reconsidered.
“As of right now, WWE is still planning on airing Worlds Collide at 7 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday. I hope they reconsider. People in their own company hope they reconsider.”
At issue is Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite from the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh. Tony Khan has confirmed that the episode will be devoted entirely to PAC, who died on Sunday, September 27, at age 40.
That leaves Worlds Collide starting just one hour before AEW’s tribute show. The WWE show, however, was taped on Saturday, September 26, at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, meaning a schedule change would not have the impact it would on a live event.
Worlds Collide featured CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Omos, Penta, Rey Fenix, Roxanne Perez and Oba Femi, among others.
WWE has yet to announce any change on its official website.
