Bayley has become a hot topic backstage in WWE as questions about her future with the company continue to swirl. This time, a social media post featuring Mercedes Moné reportedly rubbed some people within WWE the wrong way.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, via Fightful Select, the video Bayley posted “did not land well with everyone” and was considered “eyebrow-raising” by some backstage in WWE.
The post went up last Sunday, September 8. Bayley put together training footage from various locations featuring several pro wrestling names, including Mercedes Moné.
Fueling further speculation about her status with WWE, she captioned the video “all or nothing, baby” and set it to the song “All In,” sharing the name of AEW’s flagship pay-per-view.
The timing stands out given the former WWE Women’s Champion’s contract situation. Fightful reported in July that Bayley has yet to sign a new deal and that her current contract is expected to expire by the end of 2026, unless additional time is tacked on due to injury.
AEW, meanwhile, has been keeping tabs on the situation for quite some time. As previously reported, the possibility of signing Bayley has been discussed internally within AEW for close to a year, and the company is expected to make an aggressive push if she hits the open market.
That said, none of this necessarily means Bayley is headed to All In. Bryan Alvarez revealed that people within AEW are puzzled by her recent teases and believe her contract could actually run through January 2027.
