Becky Lynch is expected to stay off WWE programming for the entire build to SummerSlam.

During a Q&A session held this Monday, July 20, WrestleVotes was asked when “The Man” will return to the company. The answer ruled out an appearance at the next premium live event.

“She’s coming back after SummerSlam.”

SummerSlam will take place August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The card announced so far does not include Lynch.

Becky’s last appearance came on the June 8 episode of Raw, when she took on Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss and Chelsea Green in the first round of the Queen of the Ring tournament. Morgan won the match and advanced in the tournament. That puts Lynch at 42 days away from TV as of this Monday.

The hiatus began shortly after Lynch’s loss to Sol Ruca at Clash in Italy on May 31, which ended her third reign as Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

After the event, Lynch posted a statement claiming she’d been robbed:

“Last night I was once again ROBBED of my title by CROOKED CARR!!! CLEARLY I had SO SAD SOL pinned for MORE than the count of three when Carr INEXPLICABLY DOVE out of the ring!!!! A TOTAL MESS!!! I soldiered on but suffered a severe hematoma (my lawyers are looking into ROTTEN RUCAs footwear. They suspect they’re not regulatory!) Doctors say they’re SHOCKED I was able to continue but I told them YOU CANT HOLD DOWN THE MAN!!!!”

The alleged injury was never presented by WWE as a medical diagnosis. Lynch returned to the ring eight days later, suggesting the post was part of her heel act.

The first Raw after SummerSlam will air August 3 in Des Moines, Iowa. Even so, there’s still no confirmation that Becky’s return will happen on that show.
