WWE confirmed Danhausen vs. Dominik Mysterio for SummerSlam on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, held at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

The announcement came after Danhausen once again cost Dominik during his match against Joe Hendry. Liv Morgan interfered first, throwing Hendry into the ring post, then shortly after nailed Danhausen as he tried to curse her.

Danhausen, however, returned in the Danhausenmobile and brought IYO SKY along as backup. The Queen of the Ring winner started a brawl with Morgan outside the ring, drawing the referee’s attention away.

With the referee distracted, Danhausen slid into the ring and hit Dominik with the Danhausen Death Drop. Hendry then picked up the pinfall for the win.

It was the second straight Raw match for Dominik decided by Danhausen interference. On the July 13 episode, Danhausen showed up during the Gauntlet Match for the No. 1 contendership to the Intercontinental Championship and helped Je’Von Evans eliminate the Judgment Day member.

The rivalry gained even more heat at the July 18 Saturday Night’s Main Event, where Danhausen defeated JD McDonagh in a No Disqualification Match with an assist from Karl-Anthony Towns. The Knicks star also chokeslammed Dominik through a table.

The trouble started in late June, when Dominik and McDonagh tried to get back money that had been given to Danhausen to curse Oba Femi. Danhausen refused and instead tricked Mysterio with an exploding briefcase.

SummerSlam will be held over two nights, August 1-2, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
