Blake Monroe has responded to fans using an old promo from Toni Storm against her.
A TikTok post resurfaced a 2025 Storm promo aimed at Monroe, then wrestling as Mariah May in AEW, and fans have been using the clip to knock Monroe’s WWE run.
Monroe replied to the post directly.
“what scripted promo will you cling on to when I become world champion. I’m winning everything, I got my whole career ahead of me.”
The promo aired on the March 5, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite, in an interview with Renee Paquette ahead of Storm vs. May at Revolution. Storm told May she was doomed to a mediocre career.
“You do not deserve the dignity of death. I sentence you to a lifetime of mediocrity. Your life will continue. Your career will continue, and it’ll be good, but never great. People will like you, but never love you, because the star that you are will not compare to this monster that you’ve become. So you will dwindle, be replaced, and be forgotten. Then one day, many years from now, someone will ask, whatever happened to Mariah May? She found out what happens when you try to kill God,” Storm said.
Monroe debuted in WWE in 2025 and won the NXT Women’s North American Championship shortly after.
