Jade Cargill sparked controversy on social media after saying she wants more women in the crowd at pro-wrestling shows.
The former WWE Women’s Champion posted on X that she’s tired of seeing men she called “sloppy” in the audience and would rather wrestle for women.
“I just want to see beautiful bad ass women in the crowd. I’m tired of seeing you overgrown sloppy men. Does nothing for me 💅🏾. YUCK. Me and my girls wrestle for bad bitches.”
The post quickly drew responses. One fan pushed back, arguing that not all men are “sloppy” and that immature adults exist on both sides.
Cargill didn’t back down, responding:
“Majority of our male fan base is 💅🏾💯”
The back-and-forth continued when another user pointed out that much of Cargill’s own fanbase is made up of the men she’d just criticized. Cargill claimed many of her followers don’t even watch wrestling.
“Actually a lot of my fans don’t even watch wrestling. But go on. Majority of my fan base aren’t even wrestling fans. 💅🏾 but go on….”
