
Gunther did not rule out facing Brock Lesnar in WWE, but he made it clear that Cody Rhodes is his absolute priority right now.
In a recent interview with Italian Wrestling Channel, The Ring General was asked about a possible match against The Beast Incarnate, especially now that Lesnar is back in the mix on WWE programming.
Gunther said he did not closely follow everything that happened with Lesnar at WrestleMania, as his attention was on his own responsibilities at the event. Still, he acknowledged that the former champion is active again.
“Obviously, he’s back now, but I haven’t thought about it. I’m really focused on what I’m doing with Cody now. I will be challenging for the WWE Undisputed Championship in Italy, and that’s my full focus right now.”
Gunther was asked about a possible match against Brock Lesnar.

Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther has already been officially confirmed for Clash in Italy, which takes place Sunday, May 31, at the Inalpi Arena in Turin.
The rivalry between Rhodes and Gunther has picked up in recent weeks. WWE highlighted that Gunther attacked the champion on the May 1 episode of SmackDown, then defeated Royce Keys to officially earn his title shot.
On the latest SmackDown, Gunther once again got directly involved with Rhodes, interfering in the champion’s match against Sami Zayn before attacking The American Nightmare again.
