WWE has made another major change to Brock Lesnar’s status on its official website, just hours after his surprise return on Monday Night RAW. “The Beast Incarnate,” who had been moved to the Alumni section after WrestleMania 42, is now once again listed on the Superstars page under the Free Agent tab.
The update stands out because Lesnar appeared to have wrapped up his career after losing to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42. After the match, he left his gloves and boots in the middle of the ring, a gesture traditionally associated with retirement.
However, WWE never officially confirmed that he had retired. According to PWInsider, even while Lesnar was publicly listed as an Alumni member, he remained internally listed as an active wrestler and free agent, with no fixed tie to Raw, SmackDown or NXT.

The website change comes shortly after this week’s RAW in Greensboro, where Lesnar made a surprise return and attacked Femi during his open challenge. WWE highlighted the return in its official results, noting that Lesnar hit Femi with a dominant F-5.
On the same show, Paul Heyman appeared with a contract already signed by Lesnar for a match against Femi at Clash In Italy, leaving only the Nigerian star’s signature pending to make the rematch official.
With that, the retirement theory is losing even more steam. Now the question is whether WWE will keep the focus on Clash in Italy or if it still has something bigger planned for SummerSlam in Minneapolis.
