Brock Lesnar appeared again on this week’s Monday Night Raw in Columbus, Ohio, but not exactly the way many fans expected. Instead of coming to the ring, “The Beast” appeared in a pre-taped video to send a message to Oba Femi.
Lesnar admitted he was humbled at WWE WrestleMania 42, where he was defeated by Femi and left his gloves and boots in the ring, a gesture normally associated with retirement in WWE.
He even referred to himself as a “retired beast,” making the situation even more ambiguous.
In the promo, Lesnar said the story would not end that way. According to him, the loss in Las Vegas was rough enough to make him think he was done, but not enough to make him accept that it was over.
Right after that, Oba Femi appeared in the ring in front of Paul Heyman and made it clear that the rivalry had become personal after taking four F5s on last week’s Raw. The Nigerian star signed the match contract and said that, this time, he will not be fighting just to beat Lesnar, but to put him away for good.
