Danhausen picked up one of the most unexpected wins at WWE Backlash, held this Saturday, May 9, at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida. Alongside Minihausen, revealed as his mystery partner, he defeated The Miz and Kit Wilson in a Tag Team Match.

The match had been building over the past few weeks on Friday Night SmackDown, when Danhausen tried to convince The Miz to become his mentor. The approach, however, turned out to be nothing more than a setup, as Miz teamed up with Wilson to attack him, leading Nick Aldis to make the match official — as long as Danhausen could find a partner.

Before the match, a video package recapped the entire storyline between Miz and Danhausen. The WWE then revealed that the mystery partner would be a smaller version of the wrestler, after the character had tried to clone himself on the previous SmackDown.

During the match, Wilson tried to shove Minihausen back into the cloning machine. The plan backfired, though, and ended up spawning more Minihausens, bringing back the chaos from Danhausen’s segment with John Cena at WrestleMania 42.

In the end, the curse on Miz came back to haunt him. With help from the Minihausens, Danhausen hit a pump kick on Miz and secured the pinfall, keeping his undefeated streak alive in WWE.

It remains to be seen whether Minihausen will stick around as a regular character alongside Danhausen in the coming weeks, or if WWE treated the moment as just a special attraction for Backlash.
