Bryan Danielson and Wardlow made their AEW in-ring returns on Wednesday’s Dynamite, a special episode held in honor of PAC at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh.
Danielson had already been at the center of a deeply emotional moment early in the show. After Jon Moxley defeated Orange Cassidy in an AEW Continental Championship match, Danielson made a surprise appearance and embraced Moxley, making peace with his former partner.
Later in the night, Danielson teamed with Daniel Garcia, Gabe Kidd, Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli in a 10-man tag team match. They faced Wardlow, Mark Davis, Lance Archer, Josh Alexander and Jake Doyle of the Don Callis Family.
The Death Riders picked up the win after Castagnoli hit Doyle with a stomp, setting up the pinfall for Garcia. The match was Danielson’s first televised outing since WrestleDream in October 2024. He did wrestle Max Caster in a brief non-televised match in June 2025.
Wardlow’s return ended an even longer layoff. His last match came on March 13, 2024, when he faced Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship.
AEW had promoted Wardlow’s return with a vignette that aired during All Out on Saturday.
After the main event, the Death Riders shared an embrace in the ring. AEW then closed the broadcast with a video looking back on the life and career of Benjamin Satterley, better known as PAC.
