Chris Jericho, who spent nearly 20 years with WWE, said he is not concerned about a future WWE Hall of Fame induction, even though he believes he has done enough to earn one.

During a recent appearance on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Jericho said he would understand if tribalism or politics ended up getting in the way of an induction and would not take it personally.

“Once again, I had a great career in WWE. It was almost 20 years, with a few years here off. It was always my dream to be in the WWE. And did I create enough memorable moments and matches and characters and creations and rivalries and moments to be in the WWE Hall of Fame? Absolutely. That’s all I need.”

He said he would accept the outcome whether he is inducted or not.

“I’ve been in this business 36 years. I understand how it works. It’s not personal. I’m not insulted.”

As previously reported, Jericho considered a return to WWE in early 2026 before signing a new multi-year deal with AEW in April. Fightful’s updated contract list shows the deal running through at least April 2028.

Tony Khan said on the Battleground Podcast in July that he would be interested in creating an AEW Hall of Fame at some point. So far, however, the company has not announced any official plans.

Jericho said he would also welcome a place in an AEW Hall of Fame if he finishes his career with the company, whether he goes in first, second or 10th.

“But I’m in the Hall of Fame in my head and in the heads of anybody that appreciates the work that I’ve done. That’s good enough for me, man. Like, it really is. I don’t need anything else than that.”

He acknowledged that the sentiment might sound a certain way but said he truly means it.

“I’ve had a real blessed life in that I’ve got a chance to travel around the world doing what I always wanted to do.”

Jericho described making people happy along the way and making them angry as one and the same, calling all of it Hall of Fame material.

Still active in AEW, Jericho is set to face Nick Wayne at Grand Slam France in Paris on October 6. He also announced on Thursday that the November 7 episode of Collision will air live from his Rock ’N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea, with the ship docked in Miami.
