There is serious concern for Giulia after her loss to Blake Monroe on tonight’s WWE SmackDown at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
The match finally gave Monroe her official in-ring debut on SmackDown after months of feuding and two earlier attempts at a matchup that never even got underway.
In the closing moments of the match, Giulia went for a move in the corner, but Monroe knocked her down and sent her face-first into the ring post. Giulia stayed down, and Monroe simply covered her for the pinfall to end it.
Referees and members of the medical staff had to help Giulia leave the ring area right after the match, which immediately sparked rumors of a possible injury. Fans in attendance also reported that she had difficulty walking to the back.
As of this writing, however, there has been no confirmation of an injury, so all of this should be treated as rumor.
The feud between Giulia and Monroe has been a very physical one. In September, Giulia caught Monroe directly in the mouth with an Arrivederci Knee, and Monroe later said she lost teeth and had to undergo dental surgery.
