Bronson Reed is determined to turn his recent return to WWE into a historic and highly successful run and to make sure he never loses his spot again.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio on Thursday, Reed discussed the need to keep evolving now that he is working with some of the top names in WWE.
“I always just wanna evolve… If there’s any aspects of your game you can tighten up, you might as well do it because now I’m at that level where I’m up there with a lot of the top guys. I need to make sure that I don’t get lost in the shuffle and that’s one thing that I’m gonna make sure won’t happen this time.”
The comments reflect the same mindset Reed showed during his recovery. Before his return, he revealed that he had cut his weight from 365 pounds to roughly 265 to 270, a difference of nearly 100 pounds. He said at the time that staying relevant in pro wrestling requires constant evolution.
Reed had been out of action since February, when he suffered a distal biceps tear that required surgery. He made his return at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6, interfering in the match between Bron Breakker and Oba Femi.
The feud with Femi will now give Reed one of his biggest matches since returning. On Monday, he accepted Femi’s challenge for a match at Money in the Bank, which is set for October 10.
