Add as a preferred source on Google CM Punk and Cody Rhodes shared an unusual moment with Danhausen at Sunday’s WWE live event in Bakersfield, California.
Fan-shot footage from the show shows Danhausen standing between Punk and Rhodes when both men leaned in and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
The moment took place after Punk and Rhodes defeated Gunther and Sami Zayn in the main event at Dignity Health Arena. Danhausen had defeated The Miz earlier in the night.
This was the second straight night that Danhausen became involved with Punk and Rhodes following their main event. At Saturday’s live event in Stockton, Danhausen came to the ring wearing a towel to stop the SummerSlam opponents from fighting after their victory over Gunther and Zayn. He eventually raised both men’s hands.
Punk is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Rhodes at SummerSlam on Saturday, August 1. It will be their first singles match in nearly 18 years.
Danhausen will also be in action at SummerSlam, facing AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio in a non-title match centered around the money that Danhausen took from The Judgment Day.
