CM Punk continues to distance himself from the turbulent image that followed his AEW exit in 2023.
According to WrestleVotes Live Q&A, Punk has been viewed as a “model citizen” backstage in WWE since his return at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023.
The note stands out because of how sharply it contrasts with the end of his AEW run. At the time, Tony Khan’s company announced that Punk’s contract had been terminated “with cause” following an internal investigation into the backstage incident at All In 2023.
In WWE, however, the situation has reportedly been different. As previously reported here at Wrestling Noticias, Punk has been very helpful internally. He has also been working with several younger talents in NXT.
Punk officially returned to WWE at the end of Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 in Chicago.
For now, there is still no indication of Punk returning to WWE programming, as he has not appeared since WrestleMania 42, where he lost to Roman Reigns.
