Cody Rhodes revealed that he had a rare moment of frustration backstage in WWE during the build to WrestleMania 42.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani, the Undisputed WWE Champion said the incident never made it out publicly, even though most things backstage in WWE tend to leak. According to Rhodes, his reaction came after an F-bomb was said in the ring during WWE television.

“I had a bit of an outburst backstage which shockingly didn’t get reported.”

Rhodes explained that the “outburst” was limited to him muttering curse words, yelling, and knocking over a few water bottles. Still, once he got to his bus, he realized that kind of reaction no longer fit the role he holds in the company.

The main issue, according to Cody, was how WWE’s U.S. broadcast is affected when profanity is used. He said that when it happens, the feed is blacked out, causing part of the show to be withheld from viewers.

“Not only do you think you’re saying something cool, but they black the feed out in the States.”

Rhodes also pointed to the children in attendance, saying their first exposure to that kind of language should not happen at a WWE show.

During the same answer, Cody also defended Triple H. He said nobody in wrestling has a tougher job right now and noted that no booker in history has been loved throughout their entire time in the role.
