Cody Rhodes confirmed that he has signed a new contract with WWE and made it clear that he will finish his career with the company whenever he decides to retire from the ring.
Rhodes shared the news during an appearance on the Flagrant podcast, where he said, “I’ll say it probably will happen sooner than later. I’m not giving you any type of spoiler. Time goes by.”
He added, “When my daughter is 11 years old, I’m not gonna be falling down for a living anymore.”
Rhodes had been signaling as much for nearly a year. In November 2025, he said on the All The Smoke podcast that his next WWE contract would probably be his last and that he wanted to finish his career with the company.
Rhodes also recently discussed when he plans to retire. In an interview with WrestleTalk, he said it will probably come “sooner than later” and that he does not plan to keep taking bumps once his daughter turns 11.
The new deal is the latest extension of Rhodes’ second WWE run, which began in 2022. In March 2024, he agreed to a multi-year contract that led him to abandon his earlier plan to retire at 40.
In the ring, Rhodes remains locked in a long-running feud with Randy Orton.
