WWE on Wednesday released a nearly 40-minute special video paying tribute to PAC (Benjamin Satterley), also known as Neville, who died on September 27 at the age of 40.
Posted to WWE’s official YouTube channel, the video features reflections from Kevin Owens, Becky Lynch, Cody Rhodes, Bayley, Sami Zayn, Big Cass, Finn Bálor, William Regal, Corey Graves, Tyson Kidd and the Lucha Bros (Penta and Rey Fenix).
One of the most interesting details behind the tribute came from Cody Rhodes in a recent interview with WrestleTalk. Rhodes said it was Kevin Owens who organized the filming, setting up a camera backstage at WWE so wrestlers could share their memories of Satterley.
Owens, a close friend of PAC’s since their days on the independent circuit, said PAC was one of his favorite wrestlers.
“He was pretty much my favorite wrestler. I told everybody about him.”
Becky Lynch recalled PAC’s relationship with his wife, Natalie, and spoke about how devoted he was to his family. William Regal talked about how much Satterley meant to him.
“He was the best, he was the absolute best.”
Penta and Rey Fenix also took part in the tribute. The brothers teamed with PAC in AEW for several years as Death Triangle, a group that won the AEW World Trios Championship.
PAC spent six years with WWE, from 2012 to 2018, winning the NXT Championship and the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. He joined AEW in 2019 and remained with the promotion until his death.
