Lacey Simon, formerly known as Marie Malenko, made her WWE in-ring debut on Tuesday before NXT got underway at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Simon faced Zena Sterling in a non-televised match held before the show. There is currently no word on when Simon will make her official television debut.

Simon’s arrival in WWE was announced recently, when the company revealed its newest Performance Center recruiting class.

The story is especially notable because of her family lineage. Simon is the daughter of Dean Malenko, one of the most respected names in pro wrestling history, and the granddaughter of Boris Malenko.

Zena Sterling, her opponent in her first match, is also still developing in NXT.
