Trick Williams does not appear to be satisfied with just holding the United States Championship. On this week’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown, the champion officially announced his entry into the King of the Ring Tournament.

Williams came to the ring alongside Lil Yachty, continuing the partnership between the two that has been getting significant television time in WWE since WrestleMania 42. During the segment, Trick declared that he will compete in this year’s tournament, setting his sights on an even bigger opportunity.

The moment, however, was interrupted by Carmelo Hayes and Ricky Saints, two names who have been tied to Williams’ title reign in recent weeks. On last week’s SmackDown, Trick defeated Hayes after a distraction involving Saints, keeping the issue between all three men unresolved.

The King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments will officially begin on the June 1 edition of Monday Night RAW. WWE has not yet announced the full field, though LA Knight had already declared for the tournament earlier in the week.

The winners of the tournaments will earn a World Title match from their respective brand at SummerSlam. The event will take place on August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
