LA Knight confirmed on this week’s WWE Monday Night Raw that the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments will return to WWE programming next week.

The announcement took place during the show at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, on an episode that also served as the final Raw before Clash in Italy.

The expectation is that the finals will take place at Night of Champions, WWE’s next premium live event in Saudi Arabia. The show is scheduled for June 27 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, the same venue that hosted the 2025 edition.

Beyond the traditional prestige of the tournaments, the winners are expected to earn a world title opportunity at SummerSlam. In 2025, WWE confirmed that the King and Queen of the Ring winners would challenge the world champions of their respective brands at the biggest event of the North American summer.

This year’s SummerSlam will take place on August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

That would make this the third straight year that the tournaments have been featured on WWE’s main programming, adding more weight to the road to Night of Champions and, more importantly, SummerSlam.
