Lil Yachty appears to be taking his WWE run far beyond a simple celebrity appearance alongside Trick Williams.
WWE released new footage of the rapper training at the Performance Center in Orlando with the current United States Champion. In the video, Yachty is shown working out, doing rolls, and taking his first bumps as he looks toward a possible in-ring debut with the company.
During the footage, the rapper said pro wrestling represents a completely new challenge in his life, especially after spending the last decade working in music.
“I haven’t worked out in five years, but I’ve been making music for 10 years. This is new to me. I’m at level zero, so it’s a challenge. It was a goal to get here, and I’m here. Now the goal is to transform this body and try to whoop some ass in that ring.”

Yachty’s connection with Trick picked up steam during the Road to WrestleMania 42. The rapper accompanied Williams during his entrance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where Trick defeated Sami Zayn to win the United States Championship for the first time.
After that, Yachty continued appearing on WWE programming. On the SmackDown after WrestleMania, he said he was “here to stay” during Trick Williams’ celebration.
His involvement also continued at Backlash in Tampa, where Yachty once again got involved in the rivalry between Trick and Zayn. Williams retained the United States Championship and celebrated with the rapper after the match.
