Drew McIntyre’s absence from WWE programming is expected to last longer than initially believed.
During this week’s RAW in London, WWE promoted Fanatics Fest NYC with a new graphic, but the Scottish Warrior was no longer among the names advertised.
The change does not appear to be just a visual error. On the official Fanatics Fest website, McIntyre is listed among the talents who “will no longer be attending Fanatics Fest.”

The event will take place from July 16 through July 19 at the Javits Center in New York.
Curiously, WWE’s own page still has McIntyre on the initial list of Superstars announced for the event, though it includes the note that appearances are “subject to change.” In other words, the most up-to-date information at the moment appears to be coming from Fanatics Fest.
McIntyre has not been on WWE TV since night one of WrestleMania 42, when he lost to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match. Since then, WWE has not given any concrete sign of when he will return.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, rumors about McIntyre returning in time for SummerSlam are not accurate.
“Do not expect McIntyre back in WWE anytime soon. While online reports suggested he is set for a return leading into SummerSlam, those rumors were completely inaccurate as there has been nothing on the table for him creatively.”
McIntyre has also continued adding commitments outside the ring. He has joined the cast of The Last Druid, a new action film starring Russell Crowe, with filming already underway in Spain. He also filmed scenes for the Highlander reboot alongside Henry Cavill, Dave Bautista, and Crowe.
With that, his removal from Fanatics Fest is another sign that WWE should not be expected to have McIntyre back anytime soon.
