Randy Orton remains away from WWE programming, and he is now also off Fanatics Fest NYC, which will take place from July 16 to July 19 at the Javits Center in New York City.

“The Viper” was listed by the event itself among the talent no longer scheduled to appear. Bianca Belair and Drew McIntyre are also among the most recent names pulled from the festival.

Fanatics Fest only stated that Orton is “no longer able to appear,” without giving a reason for the change. Fans who purchased experiences tied to Orton are being offered either a refund or an exchange.

The situation stands out because Orton has not appeared on WWE TV since WrestleMania 42, where he lost to Cody Rhodes in an Undisputed WWE Championship match. After the bout, Orton attacked Rhodes, leaving the door open for the rivalry to continue.

Since then, rumors have surfaced about a back issue. Dave Meltzer previously reported that Orton’s absence was tied to a significant injury, which drew more attention because of Orton’s recent history. He previously missed more than 18 months after undergoing double fusion back surgery.

As of now, WWE has not announced any official timetable for Orton’s return.
