Add as a preferred source on Google Ethan Page once again showed his frustration with WWE’s luchadores after losing to Rey Mysterio on this week’s Monday Night Raw, which took place at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The match was announced after Page defeated Dragon Lee last week with a low blow, leading WWE to put Mysterio in his path.
After the loss, Page was approached backstage and made it clear that he has no intention of backing down:
“Great. Now you want to put a camera in my face. Perfect time. Let me make one point very clear. No matter the outcome tonight, one thing I will not do is hide my face in shame.
“This is the face that got me here and this is the face that’s gonna bring me to the top. You coward luchador bums. This is far from over and so is my quest for gold. I’m just getting started.”
Page’s rivalry with the luchadores did not begin there. On June 1, he and Rusev were defeated by Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee, also on Raw.
Page had also previously failed to capture the Intercontinental Championship from Penta at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 23. On that occasion, Penta retained the title after a hard-fought match.
