Andy Williams, the pro wrestler known as The Butcher, has died at 48.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Williams’ death to TMZ on Sunday. Williams passed away Saturday night after suffering a medical emergency during Enjoy Wrestling’s Five Years event, held September 5 at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale, Pennsylvania.
Williams had been teaming with his longtime partner The Blade (Jesse Guilmette) in a match against TME when he collapsed at the end of the match. Enjoy Wrestling said its on-site doctors tended to him immediately, performing CPR until the ambulance arrived. The promotion cancelled the rest of the show and sent fans home.

A cause of death hasn’t been released.
Williams was best known for his run in AEW, where he debuted alongside The Blade and The Bunny in November 2019. The two remained with the company for more than six years before their contracts expired in June 2026.
Outside of wrestling, Williams was a co-founder and guitarist of the band Every Time I Die. He was with the group until it broke up in 2022.
