Trick Williams is the WWE United States Champion again.
Williams beat Baron Corbin at Sunday Night’s Main Event at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Late in the match, Corbin hit Williams with the belt while the referee was distracted by Lil Yachty, but only got a two count. Williams countered an End of Days attempt moments later and hit the Trick Shot for the pin.
Lil Yachty earned Williams the shot minutes earlier. The stipulation called for Williams to get an immediate rematch for the title if the rapper could last five minutes with Corbin.
Corbin won the championship at SummerSlam on August 2, using the title as a weapon and hitting End of Days to beat Williams. That reign ended Sunday in Atlanta.
Williams first won the United States Championship at WrestleMania 42 in April, when he defeated Sami Zayn. This is his second reign with the title.
