
Curtis Axel, also known as Michael McGillicutty during his WWE run, was arrested on May 17 in Anoka County, Minnesota, following an incident at a McDonald’s drive-thru.
According to public records, Joseph Curtis Hennig is facing charges of third-degree DWI for refusing a chemical test, refusal to submit to a breath test, obstruction, possession of an open bottle, and failure to stop after an accident involving property damage.
F4WOnline reports that police were called after a pickup truck allegedly backed into another vehicle in the drive-thru in St. Francis. Officers said Hennig showed signs of intoxication, and an open bottle of vodka was found inside the vehicle.

According to the complaint, the former wrestler allegedly refused to get out of the vehicle and had to be removed by police. A McDonald’s employee also said he had already been mumbling and swearing at staff before the incident.
Axel was released from jail on May 19. The most serious DWI-related charges are classified as gross misdemeanors in Minnesota, meaning serious offenses that fall below the felony level.
