Add as a preferred source on Google Cody Rhodes is still literally carrying the Undisputed WWE Championship everywhere he goes.
During a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, the reigning WWE Champion said he travels with the title belts on the road, including through airports, and explained that WWE uses barcodes on the inside of the belts to keep track of where each one is.
“I carry the belt with me through all the airports. Also, WWE will always like to keep track of the belt. This is maybe a bit of ‘nobody knows’, but there are barcodes on the inside of the belts now to keep track.
“If there’s two of them floating out there, I make sure I have all two on me at all times. When you’re the champion, that’s got to be very real. You’ve got to carry that thing with you everywhere.
“You’ve got to talk to the guy running it through the X-ray and tell him about it. That’s fun, that’s one of those champagne problems that when you don’t have that extra weight in your bag, you’re going to miss it.”
The “American Nightmare” also joked that explaining the championship to airport security agents at the X-ray machine has become part of life as champion.
