Bobby Lashley said he would like to see Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in AEW, especially as members of The Hurt Syndicate alongside himself, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP.

Appearing on The Danny Ocean Show, Lashley said adding the duo would make the group practically “unstoppable.”

“If we bring those guys in, we’d just be unstoppable. Kofi and Woods are incredible talents. I think everybody is going to try to sign them. Hopefully they come to AEW, and if they do, we’re going to try to get them, because I’d love to work with them.”

The comments come just days after Kingston and Woods left WWE. According to Fightful, their exits came after negotiations over contractual changes failed to move forward. In a separate interview, Lashley called WWE’s decision a major mistake.

Kingston had been with WWE since 2006, while Woods signed with the company in 2010. As The New Day, the duo became one of the most important teams in WWE tag team history, winning 13 titles and setting the record for the longest reign as RAW Tag Team Champions at 483 days.

In AEW, The Hurt Syndicate recently returned to television following Lashley’s absence. Back in April, MVP had already indicated that the group was looking to expand with new names.

There is still no confirmation on what comes next for Kingston and Woods. Should the duo actually land in AEW, though, a potential alliance with Lashley and Benjamin would immediately become one of the biggest stories surrounding the former New Day members.
