Je’Von Evans, one of the youngest and most promising names on Monday Night RAW, made it clear that he is not satisfied yet with his rapid rise in WWE.
In a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, the “Young OG” said he feels like he has something to prove at this stage of his career. WWE has also presented Evans as one of the youngest competitors on its roster and highlights his 2025 Iron Survivor Challenge win as one of the biggest accomplishments of his run so far.
“I feel like right now I have something to prove. I’m trying to prove that I can be one of the greats while I’m still really young, before I get old.”
Evans added that he has been wrestling with a “weight on his shoulders” and intends to keep that mindset until he reaches a more comfortable place within the company.
“I expected all of this, I just didn’t expect it to happen this soon. But I’m blessed and happy that it’s happening now, so I can gain experience.”

Evans’ current run on RAW reinforces that perception. On May 25, he challenged Penta for the Intercontinental Championship, but came up short after the champion reversed an OG Cutter attempt and hit the Mexican Destroyer.
It is also important to note that Evans competed at WrestleMania 42 in a Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship against Penta, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Rusev and Rey Mysterio. Before that, he had qualified for the Elimination Chamber by defeating Gunther and Dominik Mysterio in a Triple Threat Match.

It remains to be seen whether WWE will continue treating Evans only as a future star, or if the red brand will start moving him toward an even bigger role.
