John Cena believes Eric André could have a very successful future in WWE if he ever decided to trade comedy sets for the ring.
In a recent interview with ETalk, alongside André to promote the film Little Brother, Cena was asked about the possibility of his co-star adapting to the world of pro wrestling.
“The advice would be, follow your dream. He’s a gifted physical comedian and a storyteller. He would be a WWE superstar as soon as he changes his mind.”
André has already had his own brush with WWE programming. On the June 15 episode of Monday Night RAW, the comedian was destroyed by Jacob Fatu under orders from Roman Reigns.
André brought up that encounter with Fatu during the conversation, while Cena joked that he might need better preparation before getting involved with members of The Bloodline again.
“I think with a little more preparation, he’d do extremely well.”
Little Brother premieres on Netflix on June 26 and features Cena as a famous real estate agent whose life spirals out of control when his “little brother,” played by André, unexpectedly shows up.
The film is directed by Matt Spicer and also features Michelle Monaghan, Christopher Meloni, Sherry Cola, Ego Nwodim, and Caleb Hearon in the cast.
