The AEW Continental Challenge Cup final is officially set. Nigel McGuinness will face Jon Moxley at All In London on Sunday, August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
Both men punched their tickets during Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite tapings at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. Moxley defeated Claudio Castagnoli by submission with a Sleeper Hold, while McGuinness submitted Kyle O’Reilly.
McGuinness’s road to the final has been anything but smooth. He beat Katsuyori Shibata in the first round but suffered an ankle injury in the process. Despite that, he went on to defeat CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Hechicero in the quarterfinals and got past O’Reilly while still dealing with the injury.

7:00 PM · Aug 26, 2026Moxley opened his run by beating Jack Perry. The reigning AEW Continental Champion followed that up with a win over Jay White before getting past Death Riders stablemate Castagnoli to reach the final.
The Continental Challenge Cup started with a 16-man field, with matchups determined by random draw each round. All bouts are contested under Continental Rules with no outside interference and, unlike the Continental Classic, no time limit.
Moxley entered the tournament automatically as AEW Continental Champion.
