Konnan Inducted Into TNA Hall of Fame

Konnan was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame on Sunday, October 11, at a ceremony at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, shortly before Bound for Glory. He was not there to accept the honor, however.

Cruz Montana, formerly known as Mike Santana and now with WWE, served as Konnan’s inductor.

After a video package highlighting Konnan’s career aired, Montana said he had considered writing out a speech but chose to speak from the heart instead.

During the speech, Montana made a strong statement about Konnan’s impact on pro wrestling.

“Without Konnan there is no lucha libre in the United States.”

Montana and Konnan were both part of LAX, along with Ortiz, during the group’s second run in TNA. Montana also announced Konnan’s Hall of Fame induction at Slammiversary in June, when he appeared in a special video tribute to Konnan.

The 2026 class also included ODB and Amazing Red, who both attended the ceremony.
