Thekla is in London, significantly boosting expectations that she could make her return to AEW programming during today’s All In at Wembley Stadium.
According to Fightful Select, sources confirmed the former AEW Women’s World Champion made the trip to London ahead of the pay-per-view. As of now, however, there’s no word on what creative plans may be in place for her return, if one happens.
Tony Khan teased Thekla’s return during last Thursday’s All In press conference.
The AEW president said the wrestler remains highly valued within the company and pointed to her unpredictability.
“you’d expect to see Thekla back very soon.”
Thekla hasn’t wrestled since Redemption on July 26, when Willow Nightingale defeated her for the AEW Women’s World Championship. The loss ended her 165-day reign.
Despite several last-minute additions to the All In card, Thekla still has no match announced as of this writing. AEW’s official preview released this morning only promotes Willow Nightingale vs. Mercedes Moné for the Women’s World Championship, with no tease of any involvement from the former champion.
AEW All In takes place today at Wembley Stadium, with the main card beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
