Thekla may be close to returning to AEW programming right on the company’s biggest weekend of the year. The former AEW Women’s World Champion is in London ahead of All In this Sunday at Wembley Stadium.
According to Fightful Select, sources confirmed that Thekla made the trip to the English capital. However, the outlet made clear that it had not received any information about specific creative plans or other scheduled activity for the wrestler during the weekend. In other words, her presence in London does not confirm a pay-per-view appearance.
The situation stands out because Thekla has been off AEW programming since Redemption, when she lost the AEW Women’s World Championship to Willow Nightingale. The loss ended a 165-day reign and confirmed Nightingale as Mercedes Moné’s opponent at All In.
About two weeks ago, Sean Ross Sapp had reported that whenever he asked about Thekla at All In, sources indicated the wrestler had been under consideration for the event. No details about a possible role, however, had been revealed.

“I think stay tuned to AEW because you’d expect to see Thekla back very soon.”
Khan also called Thekla someone highly valued by the company and highlighted her unpredictability, but did not confirm an appearance at Wembley Stadium.
As of now, Thekla remains officially off the card. AEW All In takes place this Sunday, August 30, at Wembley Stadium in London.
