Liv Morgan is in the middle of one of the most interesting stretches of her current run as WWE Women’s World Champion.
After defeating Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Morgan revealed that her entire presentation at the event was designed as a direct tribute to Britney Spears. The wrestler won the title on WrestleMania Saturday, which was confirmed by WWE shortly after the event.
In an interview with Ring The Belle, Morgan was asked about the Britney-inspired entrance at the Showcase of Immortals and didn’t hide her excitement. According to Fightful, she said she did it all for the singer and even dedicated her entire reign to her.
“Britney, if you’re watching, I love you. This reign is for you.”

The tribute didn’t come out of nowhere. Just days before WrestleMania 42, WWE released the music video for “Trouble,” a song performed by Morgan herself, which became her new entrance theme. The wrestler also said she was given a lot of creative freedom on the project.
At WrestleMania, Morgan took the idea even further with a choreographed entrance, backup dancers, and a costume change before the match, which drew immediate comparisons to Britney Spears’ pop aesthetic. Fan reaction, however, was split on social media.
