Add as a preferred source on Google CM Punk and Liv Morgan could land new opportunities outside the ring. The WWE-Netflix partnership is driving it.
Nick LoPiccolo, an agent tied to several pro-wrestling names, says there was a push to connect WWE talent directly with Netflix’s top executives. He told Punk and Morgan to skip the standard corporate meet-and-greet script. Instead he urged them to target specific people inside Netflix, including Bela Bajaria, the company’s Chief Content Officer.
LoPiccolo says the strategy clicked fast with Morgan. She spent roughly 45 minutes talking with Bajaria. Bajaria even posed for a photo with the WWE title Morgan brought with her.
“So like, again, I’m texting Punk. I’m texting Liv. Like, here’s pictures of the executives. So when you’re meeting them at the Netflix office, don’t go do what WWE wants you to do. Go meet Bella. Go say hi to this person. This is their picture. This is their credits. This is what they do. Go.”
“So like, you know, Liv gets it. So she goes up to Bella. She’s like, ‘Bella loves me. She took a picture of my WWE title. I spent 45 minutes with her.’ I’m like, you get it? So, you know, we haven’t done a movie yet with Netflix and Bella or I mean with Liv. But Bella has a mandate that she’s told all of her talent, film and television people. I want movies with CM Punk and Liv Morgan.”
The interest lines up with the current deal. Since January 2025, Monday Night Raw has streamed on Netflix in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Latin America. Outside the US, the agreement also covers WWE’s other weekly shows. It includes premium live events too.
Punk already has screen credits in projects like Heels. He also worked on Girl on the Third Floor. Morgan made her film debut in The Kill Room alongside Uma Thurman. Samuel L. Jackson co-starred as well.
