ESPN has confused WWE fans after swapping CM Punk’s entrance music on WrestleMania 42 replays streaming on ESPN Unlimited. Punk headlined Night Two on April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. He put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Roman Reigns in the main event.
The entrance stood out because Punk walked out to Miseria Cantare by AFI. That track served as his classic ROH theme from 2002 to 2005. WWE even spotlighted the moment on its official YouTube channel.
On ESPN Unlimited, however, the song is gone. A generic production track plays instead, and the arena crowd audio sounds boosted to mask the edit. Fans spotted the switch quickly on social media.
So far the change appears limited to ESPN. WWE’s YouTube upload still features Miseria Cantare, and the international replay on Netflix keeps it as well. Punk’s entrance also carried heavy emotion, with his jacket paying tribute to names from his career and personal life.
Reigns beat him in the main event anyway, ending Punk’s run as World Heavyweight Champion.
