Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods left WWE after turning down a TKO contract restructuring.

According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline, neither New Day member was close to the end of his current deal. Still, WWE asked both men to move to new TKO-style agreements. The duo rejected the terms, and as a result, the company granted their releases.

The report changes the initial story. Although Kofi and Woods exited during a fresh wave of cuts, WWE did not release them in the usual way. Instead, both sides agreed to part ways after hitting a wall in talks.

WWE has already moved Kingston and Woods to the Alumni section of its official site. That move confirms they are no longer on the active roster.

Kingston has been with WWE since 2006, while Woods signed in 2010. Together with Big E, they formed New Day in 2014 and became one of the company’s biggest stables of the modern era.

Both men must now serve a standard 90-day non-compete before they can appear elsewhere. Meanwhile, sources say there is already buzz backstage in AEW about signing the pair. The interest centers on dream matches against FTR and The Young Bucks.

So far, neither Kofi Kingston nor Xavier Woods has commented publicly on the exit.
