The Usos broke their silence after WWE released Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. WWE made the move official this Saturday, May 2. As a result, the company shifted both men to the Alumni page, ending New Day’s run.

Jimmy and Jey kept it short on social media, yet the post felt symbolic. They wrote, “My boys the ….NEW ….DAY Love uces”

The message carries extra weight because of their history. In addition, New Day and The Usos built one of the best modern tag team feuds in WWE. Their title matches also helped raise the bar for the whole division.

Meanwhile, Fightful reports that Kingston and Woods left by mutual agreement. Kofi joined WWE in 2006, while Woods signed in 2010. New Day officially formed in 2014 with Big E and became one of WWE’s most decorated and popular acts.

Their final bout came on the December 15, 2025, episode of RAW.

The cuts did not stop with Kingston and Woods. JC Mateo and Tonga Loa also left in this latest round. Both men worked as part of MFT, the faction Solo Sikoa leads.

It remains unclear what Kofi and Woods will do next outside WWE. Still, the mood among peers is simple respect for an era that just ended.
