WWE is expected to close Saturday night’s Money in the Bank with the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. That would be a considerable change from the plans reported earlier.
According to Viper Reports, the preliminary rundown for the premium live event has the ladder match featuring CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Bron Breakker, Penta, Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans in the main event slot.
The report stands out because Fightful Select’s WrestleVotes Radio said Thursday that WWE planned to close the show with Roman Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight.
On Friday’s SmackDown, however, WWE announced that Reigns and Knight will open the event, contradicting the earlier report.
The rundown also has Stephanie Vaquer defending the Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan in a Triple Threat match, which is listed as the second-to-last match of the night.
The Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match is expected to go on right after the opener, with Oba Femi against Bronson Reed slotted next.
The last time a Money in the Bank Ladder Match closed the event was in 2022, which makes this year’s possible change even more significant.
